• História da a astronomia e observatórios do século XIX, em particular fundação e desenvolvimento do Observatório Astronómico de Lisboa;
• Empreendimentos científicos e suas relações com o discurso politico, as ideologias e as culturas nacionais;
• Instituições, comunidades e redes cientificas;
• Circulação e apropriação de teorias, praticas, instrumentos e modelos organizacionais da ciência;
• A persona cientifica – configurações institucionais e profissionais, aspectos identitarios e éticos.
